What are FECO Drops?
Full Extract Cannabis Oil (FECO) is the herbal extraction of the full cannabis plant that retains all of the cannabinoids, terpenes, fats, waxes and lipids. In other words, the full healing goodness of the cannabis plant. It actively promotes the Entourage Effect by keeping the whole plant goodness in the extract.
Full Extract Cannabis Oil, also known as FECO, is a historic extracting process whose roots are the most basic of herbology. It is a product your great-great grandparents and their doctor would have recognized in their apothecary and found useful. Indeed, they could have easily made the extract themselves prior to prohibition.
Grandma Cat’s FECO Drops take the extraordinarily potent concentrate and calibrate it to exact dosing drops using organic virgin coconut oil. Drops are available in 3 potencies, 5, 1, and 1/2 total milligrams per drop, and a variety of cannabinoid ratios.
How are FECO Drops used?
Cannabis is a nutraceutical, a plant that not only nourishes but also promotes wellness and healing. FECO drops can be used both for general wellness, promoting homeostasis, and for a variety of specific conditions.
Grandma Cat’s FECO Drops are generally used orally, allowing the drops to rest between the cheek and gum, or under the tongue for a minute or so. The drops can also be placed in capsules, made into suppositories, frozen into BBs, or used topically.
How much should I take?
When talking about dosing, there are three components, ratio, potency and amount.
Ratio speaks to the amount of the various cannabinoids in relationship to each other. Current available ratios include:
- THC, CBD and CBG dominant – greater than 90% dominance
- 1:1 – equal amounts of CBD and THC
- 1:1:1 – equal amounts of CBD, THC and CBG
- Cancer Formulation – equal amounts of CBD, THC, CBG, THC-a and CBD-a
- Max Entourage – 1:1 – equal amounts of CBD and CBG with the US legal limit of THC by weight to promote the entourage effect.
It is important to note that the THC formulations may have a risk of intoxication and should be carefully administered. If you have no experience with THC, please call for a quick consultation or review the Youtube videos regarding dosing.
Potency is the amount of cannabinoids in each drop. Grandma Cat offers 3 potencies:
- 5mg/drop, 100mg/ml The standard Human Potency and is generally correct for most humans and dogs > 70 lbs.
- 1mg/drop, 20mg/ml A micro-dose for Humans and standard potency for most dogs >15 lbs
- .5mg/drop, 10mg/ml Designed for the smallest of animals
Number of Drops. It is always a good idea to Start Low and Go Slow. For humans, large and small, Grandma always suggests beginning with a single drop and working your way up from that point slowly. Remember, it takes up to 2 – 3 hours for the full effect of a dose.
If after a short time you think you can have more, do yourself a favor and don’t do that until your next scheduled dosing until you have a good understanding of your own response to your choice of FECO drops. Cannabis can be very subtle to the new consumer….until it is not. The uncomfortable feeling of over-consumption is both real and avoidable with careful use.
When you have successfully completed your most recent dose, stop and evaluate. Consider if you achieved your desired effect or if another drop is needed. You may find that you are well served at low dosing levels. You can take more, and there is no harm in doing so, but why would you if a lower dose is sufficient.
At first, you may find that keeping a diary is helpful determining your own best dosing. You will ultimately find your own sweet spot for dosing both in terms of number of drops and ratio of cannabinoids. It is very individual.
How are each of the cannabinoids used medically?
